So simple. All you need is: a salad spinner, paper cut to fit it, paint and willing children. My $8 spinner – mine even locks, but not necessary. I do wash out regularly as the paint does collect on the outer container. I have found that a crank handle turning spinner is much easier and more fun to use than the push/plunger kind of spinner.
We are always trying different placement of our paints, different amounts, and different thicknesses. That’s part of the fun. Another great thing is you can start, check and add more until you get what you want.

We use the finished pieces for collage work, hang as is, cut out shapes (trees, bears, butterfly wings), and to trace handprints on.
